How lucky are we!!  We are fortunate enough to have had a wonderful Children's Book written for us by A de Sant, and illustrated by the renowned Summer Fey Foovay - all proceeds are being donated to us directly.  Neither the Author nor the Illustrator are receiving any monies for their work and time - I really do think we are the luckiest Charity in the world at the moment.

A de Sant is a wonderful Children's author - her work is amusing, accurate, emotional and so very graphic and descriptive - so much so you can visualise her characters as you read.

Summer's skills as an illustrator are second to none.  She has customised each sketch throughout the book, including the front cover, and they come to life before your very eyes.  Summer has also allowed us permission to use some of her other illustrations of Greyhounds to use in creating our new range of Cards, Key Rings, Fridge Magnets and other items- and for this Summer we cannot thank you enough.

We are so very grateful to you both for all you've given us, and thank you sincerely from the bottom of our hearts, and of course from our wonderful Greyhounds who are going to benefit so dearly from your generosity

A little birdie has just twittered in my ear that there will be a follow-up to 'The Best Christmas of All' early on in the New Year. Once again all proceeds will be coming directly to us and our Greyhounds. Once again to our Author and Illustrator - Thank You from the bottom of our hearts - and a huge Woof from all of our adoring Greyhounds.

The Best Christmas of All - a little inside information

The book is centered around a Greyhound re-homing kennel just prior to Christmas.  A wish is made by one of the long term residents - Shaggy, that his other long term friends in the kennels are found forever homes for Christmas.

The Fairy Dog Mother (Lily from our Sadly Missed page) and her helpers, (Bonnie, Anna and JuJu) do all they can to make his dreams come true.
